A traditonal Freehouse

As a Freehouse, we have real ales, a featured guest ale, draft lagers, ciders and a wide variety of wines and spirits for you to choose from. We also plenty of soft drinks and for those who prefer, hot drinks. There’s something for everyone.

Our cosy, traditional bar is open all day most the year and all of the family is welcome, including man’s best friend. Dogs are more than welcome in the bar so you don’t have to worry about leaving them out in the cold!

Enjoy a drink and meal in the main bar, or grab a drink in the bar while you look over your menu before taking a seat in our dining room. Alternatively, for those who prefer, or perhaps a larger group of friends, we have the Conservatory behind the main bar where drinks and food can be enjoyed. And for even larger parties we can provide a larger private room which can cater for parties of around 40 seated or more for a buffet.

In the colder months, our log burner makes the bar the perfect place to warm up with a drink and some lunch after a walk along the Manifold Trail.

In the warmer months pop on up the hill and enjoy a drink or two ordered from our field bar and watch the sun set over the pub. The field bar has a selection of bar snacks available as well for those who get peckish.
