Fancy a trip on a Steam Train then pop along to Peak Rail.
Peak Rail runs Steam and Diesel engines along a 4 mile stretch of their preserved railway operating between Rowsley South and Matlock. The line is open throughout the year and forms part of the old Midland Railway’s line between Manchester Central and London St Pancras which closed in 1968.

The Churnet Valley Railway takes you on a journey back to the classic days of railway travel on a rural line that passes through beautiful countryside known as Staffordshire’s “Little Switzerland”. In addition to the 10½ mile return journey along the valley, there’s a taste of contrasting moorland scenery on the 10-mile round trip along the Cauldon branch to Ipstones.

The Swains Go Karting Centre offers the family a 500m long outdoor track. They cater for any size of party or group and, providing the minimum height is achieved, most ages.
Established in 1995 the outdoor go kart circuit has grown to a custom designed 500m track which includes a flyover bridge. The new all tarmac surface even has the addition of extra grippy cornering surface on most bends to assist in keeping you on the track even in the trickiest of weather conditions.
